Athanor Publishing is an independent publishing house based in Adelaide, South Australia. Our focus is on works that probe transformation, hidden knowledge, dark psychology, and the esoteric traditions that shape human experience.
The word Athanor refers to the alchemical furnace; the vessel where matter is refined through fire into gold. In the same spirit, every title we publish is treated as an alchemical text: a crucible for ideas that confront shadow, break boundaries, and ignite transformation.
Founded and led by Jenna Newbery, Athanor Publishing curates a growing catalogue of occult works, psychological explorations, and fiction that challenges convention while remaining serious, scholarly, and transformative in scope.
We publish both fiction and non-fiction, but our core remains clear: to seek out and refine the texts that illuminate what lies beneath ordinary awareness.
